While lying naked and shivering in the "cath lab" the other day, I struck up a conversation with a nurse. I asked, and she told me they do about 30 catheterization procedures a day in that room, most heart-related. I was in no position to question the accuracy of her figure, but if it's remotely accurate, that seems like a lot. We must not be a particularly robust people.
