The characters Blake and Mortimer are the creation of this man, Belgian Edgar Pierre Jacobs (1904-1987). Part of the exhibit, this poster-size photo shows Jacobs at work. He's sketching with one hand while modeling his grip on a pistol in his other hand. So that's how cartoonists do it! I need to get a mirror and a pistol. While in French, this official Adventures of Blake and Mortimer Web site will give you an idea what the strip is about. Of course, if you can read French, you have it made. This is another of those creations that broke ground in the fertile fields of European comics.
