This was the first A&J strip to be censored by my editors at United Media in New York. The original dialog in the first panel read, "Do you still have those thin, gauzy blouses you used to wear without a bra?" Arlo and Janis were marketed by the syndicate at that time as aging hippies. It was never really my intent to make them true flower children, just ordinary people surviving the fads of their youth.
